About

Welcome to Spinning Tiger Radio!

Spinning Tiger Radio is an internet only radio station available only in Great Britain. We're not available on "the radio" as we don't broadcast on FM or DAB. You need the internet (wi-fi) to be able to hear us. So, we're known as a webcaster, not a broadcaster!

Spinning Tiger Radio was formed by a small group of friends, led by Teresa Daniels, who want to share their music tastes with you, and hear about your music tastes so we can create radio for you! Let us know what you like, or dislike, using the 'Contact' form on this website.

There's no news on Spinning Tiger Radio, also no weather and no sports reports. They're available elsewhere. We just want to play music with some friendly chat in between. You may hear some supporter messages because it does cost money to legally have an internet radio station if you're going to play commercially produced music. We are fully licensed by PRS and PPL so we pay royalties to the record companies and the performers. The help given to us by our supporters is vital so please support them if you can.

Some of the presenters (DJs) that webcast on Spinning Tiger Radio have worked in radio before, on small local community stations, and others have had no previous radio experience and are just starting out on a great adventure.

We're doing this as a fun hobby, not as a business to make money, and there's only a few of us, so you may see in our schedule on our website that Tom Tiger makes up quite a lot of the daily programming. However, as we don't want to breach any rules with regard to overworking animals, we're hoping that other like-minded people might want to join our team. Send us a short message using the 'Contact' form and we'll get in touch.

We don't have many rules. The main rule is that we want to make radio you can listen to with your granny or your five year-old so profanity (rude words) is absolutely banned either in songs or spoken by presenters. We also don't tolerate the usual things, like racism, sexism, and various other 'isms' which can offend people.

If we do play a song that's slipped through our net please contact us and we'll remove the song from our music library. There are over 5000 songs in our music library, from the 1960's up to today so it's possible the odd one might have slipped by.

Enjoy listening to us. Spinning Tiger Radio is made by us, but it's for you!
